Can we get "SQL Server Native Client" added, for our next sw versions we are switching to this for 2012 SQL compatibility

Hello cosmin,

How about adding different versions of the Microsoft redistributable packages (.MSU) for the Windows Driver Frameworks versions 1.05 to 1.11 to the list of predefined prerequisites? Windows driver packages heavily rely on these libraries and with Windows 8 release they will become increasingly more popular.

Hi Cosmin,

They are available online as free packages for everybody to download. If you don't find some of the old ones because Microsoft might no longer maintain the webpages for those packages, you can then either download them through MSDN subscriber download page, if you have access to any, or contact Microsoft and ask them about it.

Hi cosmin,

Once you get the package installed, in that directory you will find a bunch of MSU file for versions 1.9 and 1.11 of the WDF ehich is exactly what you need to install on target PCs. For the earlier versions, you may notice some DLL files rather than MSU. To extract the MSU files from those DLLs, please follow the instructions listed as "Extract the KMDF/UMDF driver from the DDK" at the link below:

SQL Server 2008 R2 Express SP2 would be nice.

Also, separate 32/64-bit installers for the SQL Server Native Clients are necessary. The current prerequisite package is 32-bit only.

We will consider adding separate prerequisites in a future version. Thank you for your suggestion. Until then, you can copy the prerequisite and change the setup file or URL to the 64-bit version.

Can we get Support for detection of in launch conditions, and as a prequ check for Adobe Reader XI, seems its not allowing installation to continue with our installer that has it as a launch condition when Adobe Reader XI is installed

Is it possible to add our own predefined prerequisites.

I know you are taking a list of prereqs that are commonly used but what about non common products that one or two people use, or even previous version of our own products.
