Advanced Installer 11.1 Release Notes

On April 28th, 2014 Caphyon Ltd. is proud to announce the release of Advanced Installer 11.1 in Free, Professional, Enterprise and Architect editions. This release is available for download on the Advanced Installer website.

The 11.1 release amplifies the power of the repackager by bringing support for Hyper-V, Microsoft's native virtualization technology. Together with the existing VMWare support, automatically repackaging legacy installers in clean VMs is easier than ever.

Also new is the ability to easily convert existing MSI installers directly into App-V 5.0 packages. Effortlessly deploy to SCCM as an integrated post-build event.

Bug fixes
  • The Updater resolved UNC paths incorrectly when downloading package
  • UI controls were not aligned in the Properties view from update configuration projects
  • Disable the automatic updates check did not work properly on XP
  • Now detecting and properly handling more error cases when downloading and installing updates
  • The Updater displayed strange characters when the Polish language is used
  • Fixed progress malfunction when building multilingual packages only
