No automatic save at Build

Wed Aug 27, 2014 1:37 pm

Hi,

>No automatic save at Build.

Is there some way to optionally turn this off and have AI only ask if the project should be saved only when closing?
(Similar to when using the test "UI Installation" function)

Thank you.

Hello Clint,

I'm afraid we don't have support for this. Maybe we'll add this improvement in a future version of Advanced Installer thank you for your suggestion. However, since your is the only request implementing this has a very low priority for the moment.

Thank you for your understanding.

All the best,
Daniel

Hi,
that will be great, if it is possible in a future version of AI. Every Time I want to test something I make several copies of the project file....
Current Version of AI: 16.5

You might consider putting your project files under some sort of version control. That way you can always revert back to your most recent known-good version.

We recently acquired the most recent release (Pro version). Was a toggle ever added to the software to NOT save the project on build? Otherwise is there a command line switch for batch files?
