Repackager Quality Assessment

Verify what resources were added, modified or removed in the repackaged installation by comparing the results with the original installation, all within Advanced Installer's GUI.

Compare and Configure

The same profile used to repackage the original installation is automatically used also for repackaging the new package generated by Advanced Installer. The captured data from the new package is then compared with the one from the original one.

The entire process requires integration with a virtual machine: VMware or Hyper-V.

After you repackage the original package you can choose what resources to be excluded from the new package, for a better experience for the end-users of the application. The dialog present in the right-side screenshot gives you a bird's-eye view of the package contents, from where you can select the resources you wish to exclude.

The new package generated from the original capture will be an MSI.
