Advanced Installer 11.2 Release Notes

On May 21st, 2014 Caphyon Ltd. is proud to announce the release of Advanced Installer 11.2 in Free, Professional, Enterprise and Architect editions. This release is available for download on the Advanced Installer website.

The 11.2 release brings the ability to configure Windows Server Roles on install. Have your installers prepare server machines for their purpose with just a few clicks in Advanced Installer.

Also new are additional or updated prerequisites, COM registration improvements and Dynamic Generation support for Multiple Instances.

Bug fixes
  • File associations were incorrectly created with "New File Associations" wizard
  • The date of a file was modified when digitally signed
  • Advanced Installer crashed after adding several COM entries with the same GUID
  • ProgressBar control from the Surface theme did not display any progress during the "Extracting files from archive" action
  • "Prevent running in virtual machine" launch condition detected the presence of the Hypervisor on the physical host OS as well
  • Progress action count was incorrectly computed in multilingual, mixed with shared db project
  • Fixed File Edit dialog > Operations tab problem on projects created with Advanced Installer 9.9 on Windows XP
  • "C:\Windows\Installer\" temporary MSI files were not removed with Enhanced UI enabled
  • Fixed download link for Apache HTTP Server 2.2 and Apache Tomcat prerequisites to point to the US backup mirror
