Making scheduled tasks in subfolders

Hi AI :)

I am quite new to using the software, so bear with me.
At the moment i am trying to make a new installation package that will include scheduled tasks.

Is there a way to install them into sub folders ? At the moment they with land under whatever is the main tree.

I am using version 19.6 since we have some legacy running.

Hello Kevin and welcome to our forums,

I'm afraid that currently we do not have support for creating a Scheduled Task folder / adding a Scheduled Task to a folder.

However, you could try creating a Custom Action that does that.

I have added this on our TODO list of improvements and hopefully it will be implemented in a future version of Advanced Installer.

When that will happen, I will update this thread.

I was aware of the Powershell approach, but how do i move the tasks into the subfolder ?
When i do the build in function Scheduled Task, i don't see any condition to put it in a subfolder ?

To be honest, we are using version 19.6 and 14.9 (Legacy stuff), so it might be the case that you already added the function.

Hello Kevin,

Not quite, it is not related to the version.

With this approach, I'm afraid that we might need to create the scheduled task through the custom action as well.

As previously mentioned, I have already added this on our TODO list of improvements and hopefully this will be added in a future version of Advanced Installer.

Ahh sweet, i just wanted to make sure if i missed anything regarding the tasks.
