Dialog Repository
After creating a new dialog using the Dialog Editor you have the possibility to save that dialog so that you can use it in another project. The dialog is saved in the Dialogs Repository. The path of this folder on Windows XP is:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\Repository\Dialogs
and on Windows Vista or above it is:
C:\ProgramData\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\Repository\Dialogs
You can change the dialog repository default location from the Repository Manager.
There are several operations that involve the Dialogs Repository:
- Export a dialog from the project to the repository.
- Import a dialog from the repository to the project.
- Remove a dialog from the repository.
Export Dialog
When a dialog from the project is exported, in the Repository directory a new folder that has the same name as the dialog is created. The folder will also contain the dialog's corresponding dictionaries for every selected build language.
Only custom dialogs can be exported. The predefined dialogs cannot be exported even if they are modified.
Import Dialog
When importing a dialog from the repository to the project there are also imported the corresponding dictionaries (if they exist) for every selected build language.
Remove Dialog
You can remove any dialog from the repository either by manually deleting its corresponding folder in the repository directory or from the Repository Manager.
Please note that you can use the dialogs repository only in an Enterprise or Architect project.
