Package Type
Standard
Select this option if the package contains an application or a suite of applications.
Middleware
This package type is required by a standard application.(For example, it can be a Java Runtime or an Office add-in.)
Output
Folder
Select the folder where the App-V 5.x package will be created.
Name
The name of the .APPV file.
Description
Text describing the App-V 5.x package.
Supported Operating Systems
Select if the application can be run on any operating system or only on specific operating systems.
All
If this option is selected, the App-V 5.x package will run on every operating system supported by Microsoft's App-V 5.x.

When this option is selected, choose from the listbox, the desired Operating Systems on which you App-V 5.x package will run.
Options
Allow named objects to interact with local system
Makes named kernel objects from virtual bubble visible to real OS.
Allow COM object to interact with local system
Makes COM objects from virtual bubble visible to the real OS
Allow virtual applications full write permissions to the virtual file system
Provisions the package with write access to any files and folders in the virtual environment. App-V 5.0 SP2 is required.
Download all applications before launching
Puts all applications(EXE and DLLs) in primary feature block. If not checked then all files are put in secondary feature block.
PVAD Install
The installation files (which must be under Application Folder in Files and Folders page) will be placed in the package root, not in the VFS.
This option applies starting from App-V 5.0 SP3.
Enable Browser Helper Objects
This option activates or deactivates the Browser Helper Objects included in your App-V 5.x package.
This option applies starting from App-V 5.0 SP2.
Scripts
Files that are put in App-V 5.x package as script files. These can be referenced from _UserConfig.xml and _DeploymentConfig.xml files.
